Ingredients:

  • 1 Tin of Baby Abalone (13–30 pieces per can)
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2/3 cup Plain Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup Cornflour
  • 2.5ml Smoked Paprika
  • 2.5ml Smoked Chilli Flakes
  • Salt, to taste

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, paprika, chilli flakes, and salt.
  2. Roll the abalone in the cornflour, then dip it into the beaten egg, followed by the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Deep fry the abalone in warm oil for about 10 seconds, or until golden brown.
  4. Serve with a dip of your choice.
