Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Live/Unfrozen Baby Abalone (still in the shell)
  • 2 Sprigs of Thyme
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • Butter (not margarine)
  • Smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Steam the abalone in their shells for exactly 4 minutes.
  2. Allow the abalone to cool, then clean them.
  3. Brown the butter in a pan and infuse it with thyme.
  4. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute.
  5. Add the abalone and sprinkle with spices.
  6. Fry the abalone in the pan for 1 minute, then serve.
